INTENSIVE COMPOSITION, LIGHTING AND PORTRAIT

TWO OPTIONS:


1) TWO-DAY WEEKEND, SATURDAY 14 AND SUNDAY 15 MAY 2011

2) 6 WEEKS DURATION, START NEXT MAY 17 2011


This intensive course is aimed at photographers who have a basic management essential elements of shooting (Speed, aperture, sensitivity) and professional photographers who wish to specialize in the techniques of portrait or book

To fully utilize the human figure work proposes an intensive experience: reading the image ( vision and composition), portrait-oriented lighting, link to the model expression.

All classes are essentially practical and apply for student participation.



This course is offered in two forms:

1) Six classes per week (total 14 hours)

2) Two-day weekend (total of 14 hours, Saturday from 11 to 19hs, Sunday 11 to 17.30hs)


I. Introduction to the reading of the image. An approach to composition analysis
of images of different authors, photographers and Reading famous painters and image composition with the human figure.
In this first class will also pictures produced by the participants.

II. lighting. Basic concepts on the nature of light.
fundamental properties of a lighting setup.
The different types of light sources and how to produce it in the studio or to find in natural lighting.
surfaces reflection and transmission. Measurement and photometry. The contrast. Practice with natural light sources and study.

III. lighting. qualitative properties of the light hardness, diffusion directionality. Relationship of light and shadow. Use of umbrellas, soft-box, reflectors and diffusers. Practical applications model to experiment with different feelings and emotions that produce the various elements.

IV. address models. Practice in applying learning composition and lighting to the direction of models, use of playing techniques.

V. high key studio sessions. Practice with a model for portraits and full body photography with full lighting and light background. Application to fashion photography, advertising and books. Lighting made by participants.

VI. low key studio sessions. model placed Practice with dramatic lighting, dark background, for artistic effect.

This course is aimed at photographers wish to register the performing arts and broadcast their personal vision of the work. work over the 6 classes is focused on two main themes: firstly the technical aspects of shooting in scene and situation, on the other hand, the look and presentation on the work itself for this to be reflected at different depths through the image and composition.

To participate in the course requires a good grasp of shooting.

1) An approach to theater photography: imaging plays in different situations. explanation of technical features.

2) Aspects technical shooting. Cameras, lenses. Material preparation.

3) Preparation work on a play to identify, read a synopsis of the text and posing of the situations recorded

ARTISTIC NUDE, light, form, expression, duration 4 hours, June 25
started this workshop with a brief introduction to the composition which will allow us to then work in practice on the nude from the idea of \u200b\u200benhancing the natural beauty of the human body through its forms: that curve a particular back (and no other ...), that expression of the hands, the mystery of what is and maybe is not an expression, a leak in the shadows. Botanic In this workshop, which is given as a unit, we see issues related to natural lighting in the park, essentially learning to see how the encounter of light with nature and in what circumstances awakens in everyone the desire to photograph. She explores issues of composition that helps the photographer to produce images that are held accountable for their particular view without falling into the traps that tends ease of nature when it is splendid.
The work is complemented by the pursuit of assimilation of the human figure, portrait, the landscape or vegetation, to ensure that instead of competing to merge into rich, authentic images that account for the here and now in the process.

NIGHT PHOTOGRAPHY IN PUERTO MADERO, Friday, May 6 , 20hs
In this workshop we will work with a tripod and without flash. Puerto Madero is a site that lends itself to an interesting photograph but the challenge is to achieve compositions reflecting the breadth and depth of the site and also to overcome the difficulty of properly expose with artificial lighting and reflections.
A model joins us to add one more challenge to the experience.
